Trouser Manufacturing in Karachi

From our yarn,every trouser

From light French terry joggers at 180 GSM through to heavyweight cotton fleece sweatpants at 500 GSM, our trouser programme covers the full athleisure and streetwear range. Apex Corporation has been knitting trousers in our North Karachi factory since 1984, on the same circular machines and sewing lines that produce our t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, polo shirts, and shorts. Buyers across fifteen export markets spec joggers, sweatpants, track pants, cargo pants, and lounge pants to their tech packs at our 100-piece minimum. The line splits across three retail pillars: Activewear, Loungewear, and Streetwear, each with its own GSM band, fabric leans, and construction defaults.

Six DSK circular knitting machines run our greige fabric in-house, putting 2,400 kilograms a day onto rolls in French terry, brushed cotton fleece, single jersey, interlock, and performance polyester tricot. Each roll passes through shrinkage and GSM testing before it touches a cutting table. From there it routes through Juki and Siruba sewing lines that handle everything trousers ask of them: encased elastic waistbands or ribbed knit waistbands, drawstrings in flat tape or round cord with metal aglets or plastic stoppers, 1x1 or 2x2 ribbed cuffs at the ankle for joggers, open hems for classic sweatpants, side seam pockets, cargo pockets, welted pockets, all bartacked at the openings. Labels go in woven, satin, or tagless heat transfer to your spec. We run OEM and ODM only. Your brand on every garment, never ours. Tech pack or reference sample, both routes lead to the same bulk.

The minimum order is 100 pieces per style per colour, and the first sample is free, ready in 3 to 5 working days. Bulk runs from tech pack to FOB Karachi in 60 to 75 days against our monthly capacity of 50,000 pieces across every knitted category we manufacture. Send us your tech pack and we will quote a delivery window that matches your launch date.

Three Pillars, One Factory

Trousers built acrossactivewear, loungewear, and streetwear

Three pillars, three different briefs. Activewear is built for sport, with construction that prioritizes stretch, recovery, and movement. Loungewear is the everyday retail bread-and-butter, where most jogger and lounge-pant orders sit. Streetwear is where the heavyweight fashion specs live, oversized fits and the dropped silhouettes that fashion brands ask for. Each pillar has its own GSM tier, fabric leans, and construction defaults. Pull from the lists below or send a tech pack. Every silhouette is built as custom knitwear, made to order against your spec.

Printing & Accessories

Branding the trouser, printed, embroidered, labelled, packed

Apex coordinates branding for every trouser order through our specialist partners across Karachi: embroidery houses, screen printers, label and trim suppliers. Trouser branding tends to live on the waistband, side leg, and pockets, with logo type and placement chosen at sample stage. Send artwork with the tech pack and we handle the rest, or read the methods below before you spec.

Printing & Branding Methods

Screen printing handles most trouser branding: leg prints, side stripes, hip and pocket logos, with plastisol or water-based inks at 500 pieces and above. DTF (direct-to-film) covers full-colour artwork on all GSMs and all fabric types, with no minimum colour count, and works well on cuff or side-leg placements. Heat transfer vinyl is the standard for athletic numbers, names, and side stripes on track pants and team kits. Plastisol transfers handle spot logos at hip or pocket for short reorder runs. Sublimation is reserved for 100% polyester performance trousers where the brief calls for all-over print. DTG works on lighter cotton fleece between 220 and 300 GSM but is not recommended on heavy brushed fleece. Embroidery covers premium waistband logos, pocket badges, and side-leg crests, running flat stitch, 3D puff, and multi-thread up to 12 colours, though it sits behind print methods in trouser volume.

Accessories & Trims

Drawcords are where most trouser branding lives outside of prints. Flat tape with metal aglets is the streetwear default. Round cord with silicone tips reads cleaner on lounge pants. Custom-shaped cord stoppers are spec'd on premium fashion ranges. Waistband elastic runs plain or branded jacquard if your spec calls for an exposed waistband look. Zippers are coil or invisible, sourced from major Karachi-stocked brands, used on ankle openings and security pockets. Branded labels go in at the waistband interior, side seam, or hem, woven for premium retail or heat-transferred for tagless. Patches sew or heat-apply in woven, embroidered, PVC, or leather. Hangtags and packaging run on the standard retail spec sheet. Paper or fabric tags, polybagged individually or bulk, boxed if your buyer wants it.

Trouser Manufacturing Process

Eight steps, tech pack to FOB Karachi

Every Apex trouser order moves through eight stages between buyer inquiry and shipment. The first four steps are sample work. The last four are bulk production. Sample approval gates the move from one phase to the next. Your physical pre-production sample lands in your hands and gets your written sign-off before bulk fabric is committed. The full workflow runs from one Karachi facility with monthly capacity for 50,000 pieces.

01

Tech Pack & Quotation

Buyer sends tech pack with GSM range, fabric blend, quantity, and target price. Apex reviews feasibility, sources fabric or yarn, and returns an FOB quotation.

02

Sample Development

Pattern development across waistband, leg, and hem panels, then cutting and sewing of first sample. 3 to 5 days for normal samples, 10 to 14 days for custom yarn or fabric work.

03

Sample Revisions

Revision rounds refine fit through hip and thigh, leg silhouette, waistband construction, and branding placement to spec.

04

Sample Approval & PPS

Pre-production sample shipped for final fit, GSM, and finish review. Written buyer sign-off lands in our inbox before bulk cutting begins.

05

Fabric Knitting & Finishing

Bulk yarn knitted on our DSK circular machines, then dyed at our partner mill, washed, and compacted to your approved GSM. Each roll passes shrinkage and weight testing before it leaves the finishing line.

06

Bulk Cutting & Sewing

Multi-layer cutting on graded markers, assembly-line sewing across overlock, coverstitch, and bartack stations. 50,000 pieces monthly across the knit programme.

07

Branding & Quality Control

Printing, embroidery, drawcord aglets, and labels applied per your tech pack. Final QC against the approved sample, ironing, and tagging before packing.

08

Packing & Dispatch

Common Questions From Buyers

What Buyers Ask Before They Order

The questions international buyers raise most often when sourcing knitted trousers from a Pakistan-based manufacturer.

Apex builds knit trousers in-house: joggers, sweatpants, leggings, and lounge pants. Woven trousers like chinos are accepted on special request.

Encased elastic, ribbed knit, self-fabric flat, drawcord-only, and hybrid (flat front, elastic back) waistbands all build at our standard 100-piece MOQ per style per colour. Custom branded jacquard elastic adds a 150 kg minimum on the elastic order itself.

5 to 8% spandex covers most retail stretch joggers, 8 to 12% works for activewear with more recovery, and 12 to 15% is for compression. Higher spandex improves recovery but increases shrinkage at the first wash, so pre-shrunk finishing matters more above 8%.

All panels for one color-block style are knit and dyed together as a single dye-lot to lock the match within and across the bulk run. Cross-dye-lot panels are flagged at QC and rejected before cutting if the shade variance exceeds your approved swatch tolerance.

Side-seam, slant, cargo, welt back, and zip security pockets are all standard. For lighter trousers below 240 GSM we use color-matched cotton pocketing or self-fabric pockets to prevent show-through, with mesh pocketing for performance trousers where breathability matters.

Yes, a size M shifts roughly 1 to 2 inches between US, EU, UK, and GCC standards on inseam and waist. Apex grades to your buyer's measurement spec sheet directly, or against the regional standard you specify in the tech pack.
