Apex Corporation has been knitting polo shirts in Karachi, Pakistan since 1984. We supply retailers, fashion brands, uniform makers, and buying houses across fifteen export markets. Polo shirts run alongside our t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, trousers, and shorts in the same Karachi factory, built to the same retail standard. Polo weights start at 140 GSM single jersey for performance polos and lightweight summer styles, then climb to 280 GSM double piqué for premium retail and corporate uniforms. Three pillars structure the entire programme: Activewear, Loungewear, and Streetwear. Every collar, knit, and finish below sits within one of them.
Every polo starts from grey fabric we knit ourselves on six DSK circular machines, producing 2,400 kilograms daily across single piqué, double piqué, single jersey, interlock, and performance polyester. Fabric runs through shrinkage and GSM testing before cutting, then routes to our Juki and Siruba sewing lines under one roof: flat-knit ribbed collars and cuffs, self-fabric collars on jersey polos, two- or three-button plackets with mother-of-pearl or custom-engraved buttons, side vents reinforced with woven tape, optional tennis tail, and your choice of woven, satin, or tagless heat transfer labels. We work OEM and ODM only, your brand on every garment, never our own. Send us a tech pack or a reference sample, both routes lead to the same bulk.
Our MOQ stays at 100 pieces per style per colour. First samples are free, finished in 3 to 5 working days. End-to-end lead time from tech pack to FOB Karachi runs 60 to 75 days, with monthly capacity at 50,000 pieces across all knitted categories. The same factory that produces a 250-piece capsule of tipped piqué polos for a country-club brand can knit 20,000 uniform polos for a hospitality chain the following month. Whatever the volume, the QC and packing standards stay locked. Only the lead time scales with order size.

Apex's polo shirt programme runs across three retail pillars, all manufactured as part of our wider custom knitwear range. Every polo built in our Karachi factory carries the same stitching standards, the same collar choices, and the same finishing options across all our knitted garments. We run single-needle and double-needle topstitching, flat-lock seams on performance polos, and bartack reinforcement at every side vent stress point. Collars cover flat-knit rib, self-fabric, tipped, mandarin, or johnny split-neck variants. Plackets run two-button, three-button, four-button, quarter-zip, or concealed. Cuffs run 1×1 ribbed for piqué or self-fabric hemmed for jersey polos. Pre-shrunk, bio-washed, garment-dyed, and pigment-dyed finishes are all available. Every polo that ships from our factory carries a brand on it. Chest embroidery is standard on piqué and jersey polo alike, running cleanly against the knit surface without bleed or transfer. We handle screen print on the back panel, woven neck labels, custom buttons, tipping, and retail packaging through our printing and trim partners across Karachi. Printing & Branding Methods
Embroidery is the standard branding method across most polo orders. Left-chest logos, back-neck emblems, and sleeve placements all run flat stitch as standard, with 3D puff available for raised logos. Screen printing covers back-panel graphics on cotton and CVC polos, using plastisol or water-based inks that hold across washes. Heat transfer vinyl suits team numbers and short-run customisation. Puff print and high-density print add dimension on streetwear polo styles. Sublimation is reserved for 100% polyester performance polos, covering all-over patterns and team graphics.
Accessories & Trims
Buttons are the trim most specific to polo shirts. We run 2-hole and 4-hole buttons in horn-look, pearl-look, metal, and matte finishes, sized to your tech pack, with a spare button option sewn inside the hem on retail orders. Collar and cuff tipping, the contrast stripe, is knitted in during fabrication to your colour spec, with a 50 kg yarn minimum on custom tipping combinations. Quarter-zip and half-zip styles run metal or plastic zippers with brass, silver, or gunmetal pulls. Woven labels come in damask, satin, or taffeta, placed at the neck, inner, or side-seam. Tagless heat-transfer labels suit clean retail finishes. Hangtags ship in paper, fabric, or leather. Custom packaging covers polybags, boxes, tissue paper, stickers, and branded mailers.

Tech Pack & Quotation

Sample Development
Pattern development, cutting, and sewing of first sample. 3 to 5 days for normal samples, 10 to 14 days for custom.

What Buyers Ask Before They Order
The questions international buyers raise most often when sourcing custom polo shirts from a Pakistan-based manufacturer.
Yes, women's contoured polos use curved side seams and a narrower, shorter placket matched to the fitted body length. Collar depth and rib knit tightness are adjusted to the contoured spec, and we grade to your standard women's size chart. Include a fit breakdown in your tech pack, we'll work from it.
Corporate polos typically run a single piqué at 180 to 220 GSM with a straight-hem body, standard placket, and minimal tipping, designed for logo embroidery and daily wear. Golf polos prioritise moisture-wicking piqué or performance jersey, a slightly longer body for tuck-in wear, reinforced seams for range of motion, and UV-resistant yarn where the performance spec calls for it.
Standard placement is the left chest at 80 to 90 mm wide, but we run right-chest placements, sleeve emblems, back-neck emblems, and above-hem side placements as well. Multiple placements per garment are feasible, three is a practical maximum before embroidery cost significantly affects unit pricing. Specify all placements in the tech pack and we'll quote per placement.
Buttons come in horn-look, pearl-look, metal, and matte plastic finishes, in 15 mm and 18 mm sizes as standard, with custom diameter available. Spare button sewn inside the hem is available on retail orders and adds a small charge per unit. All button materials and sizes are confirmed at sample stage.
Tipping, the contrast stripe on collar and cuffs, is knitted directly into the fabric during fabrication, not applied after. Standard solid and two-colour combinations run without a yarn minimum. Custom stripe colour combinations carry a 50 kg yarn minimum per colour, covering the minimum dye lot for your tipping yarn.
Jacquard-patterned flat-knit collars are available with custom geometric or all-over repeat patterns. The minimum for a custom jacquard collar programme is 500 pieces per colourway, covering the set-up cost for a new knit programme on our flat-knit collar machines. Standard solid and striped flat-knit collars run at our normal 100-piece MOQ.
