Our Sweatshirt Programme

Custom sweatshirts, knit, cut, and sewn under one Karachi roof

Since 1984, Apex Corporation has been knitting and sewing sweatshirts in Karachi, Pakistan. We manufacture for retailers, brands, and buying houses across fifteen export markets. Sweatshirts share the production floor with our t-shirts, hoodies, polo shirts, trousers, and shorts. Sweatshirt weights start at 220 GSM French Terry for lightweight crewneck pullovers and run up to 500 GSM brushed fleece for heavyweight retail. Three pillars frame the entire programme: Activewear, Loungewear, and Streetwear. Every cut, weight, and finish below sits inside one of them.

Every sweatshirt starts as grey fabric on our six DSK circular machines, producing 2,400 kilograms of cotton, polyester-cotton, and blended fleece daily. Fabric goes through shrinkage testing and GSM verification before cutting. Sewing runs on Juki and Siruba lines under our own roof, with neckline options covering ribbed crew, mock collar, and stand-up collars for quarter-zip and full-zip styles. Sleeves come set-in for retail or raglan for sportswear, with 1×1 or 2×2 rib at the cuffs and hem. Pocket choice is set-in side pockets, welt pockets, or no pockets at all. Woven, satin, or tagless heat-transfer labels finish the build. We work OEM and ODM only, your brand on every piece, never ours. Send us a tech pack or a reference.

MOQ stays at 100 pieces per style per colour, with first samples free and ready in 3 to 5 working days. End-to-end lead time from tech pack to FOB Karachi runs 60 to 75 days. Total monthly capacity is 50,000 pieces across all knitted categories. The same factory floor that knits a 300-piece capsule of mock neck loungewear for a small label can run 25,000 retail crewnecks for a chain the following week. Order size doesn't shift the QC standard or the packing standard. Only the lead time scales.

Print, Embroider, Label, Pack

Sweatshirt branding, from artwork to retail packaging

Every sweatshirt that ships from our factory leaves with a brand on it. We handle embroidery on the chest, screen print across the back, woven neck labels, and custom packaging through our printing and trim partners across Karachi. The fleece body holds prints and embroidery cleanly across washes. Send your artwork with the tech pack, or pull from the methods below.

Printing & Branding Methods

Screen printing covers most retail-volume sweatshirt orders, with plastisol or water-based inks running well on cotton fleece across multiple washes. Plastisol transfers cover spot logos for reorders without setting up new screens. Heat transfer vinyl works for athletic numbers and short-run customisation. Puff print and high-density print add a raised, dimensional finish on streetwear sweatshirts. Silicone and rubber prints stay flexible across heavier fleece and survive repeat washing on premium retail orders. Sublimation is reserved for 100% polyester performance sweatshirts, where it covers all-over patterns and team graphics.

Accessories & Trims

Embroidery handles most of the branding on sweatshirts. Chest logos, sleeve graphics, back placements. Flat stitch is standard, 3D puff for raised dimensional logos, multi-thread up to 12 colours when artwork demands it. Patches come woven, embroidered, PVC, or leather, sewn or heat-applied. Sewn-on patches outlast heat-applied through repeated washing. For quarter-zip, half-zip, and full-zip styles, we run metal or plastic zippers with brass, silver, or gunmetal pulls. Premium retail orders usually run metal, volume orders plastic. Woven labels come in damask, satin, or taffeta, placed at the neck, inner, or side-seam. Tagless heat-transfer labels suit cleaner retail finishes. Hangtags ship in paper, fabric, or leather. Custom packaging covers polybags, boxes, tissue paper, stickers, and branded mailers.

Common Questions From Buyers

What Buyers Ask Before They Order

The questions international buyers raise most often when sourcing custom sweatshirts from a Pakistan-based manufacturer.

Nap direction and colour are part of our pre-cut QC. Every dye lot is colour-matched against your approved sample, and brushed-fleece panels are laid grain-aligned across the cutting spread to keep the surface consistent.

Yes, fleece and french terry run on the same DSK circular machines, so you can mix both in one PO at our 100-piece MOQ per style per colour. French terry typically prices 8 to 12 per cent below brushed fleece at the same GSM, since brushing adds machine time and yarn loss.

A 450 GSM heavyweight loopback runs roughly 25 to 35 per cent more than a 280 GSM basic crewneck at the same MOQ and yarn composition, mainly from yarn weight, knitting time, and brushing labour. Final pricing depends on yarn count and any premium finishes you spec.

Garment-dye runs through our specialist dyehouse partners across Karachi, billed as a single line on your invoice, with pigment dye, acid wash, and stone wash all available. Patterns are graded with an additional 2 to 4 per cent shrinkage allowance post-dye, and the process adds 7 to 10 working days to standard lead time.

We grade XS to 2XL standard, with XXS and 3XL or above on request, holding plus or minus 1cm on chest and length up to XL. Drop-shoulder fits use either a constant drop for streetwear silhouette or a proportional drop scaled with the grade, whichever your tech pack specifies.

Direct embroidery on heavyweight fleece without backing will pucker every time. We use tear-away stabiliser for lighter fleece (220 to 320 GSM) and cut-away stabiliser for dense logos and 3D puff on heavier weights, with the cut-away staying in the garment to support the embroidery through washing.
